Standing Firm on the Foundation

Jun 14, 2026

This powerful message challenges us to recognize that we live in a world with two competing worldviews: one founded on God's truth and one built on the shifting sands of evolutionary thinking. Drawing from Colossians 1:15-20, we're reminded that Christ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation, and that all things were created through Him and for Him. The central question echoes through the ages: 'What is truth?' Just as Pilate asked Jesus this question, our children and grandchildren are asking it today in classrooms, museums, and through media. The answer isn't found in human wisdom but in God's Word, which serves as our historical account and our foundation. When we understand that Genesis isn't mythology but actual history—places we can visit, events we can verify—we equip ourselves and our families to stand firm. The message urgently calls us to recognize that compromising on creation undermines essential doctrines: the sanctity of marriage between man and woman, the reality of sin and death entering through Adam, and the inherent value of every human life. We're challenged to move beyond passive church attendance to active engagement—training our children, cleaning our homes of influences that contradict Scripture, and being ready always to give an answer for the hope within us. The call is clear: we must wake up, recognize the spiritual battle for truth, and become passionate about sharing the gospel before it's too late.
